Our understanding of myopia is rapidly evolving, with numerous studies published in scientific literature. In July 2023 alone, 81 papers with the term ‘myopia’ in the title are listed on PubMed – it can be challenging keeping up to date!
With Myopia Management Perspectives, we will bring you summaries of recent research from peer-reviewed journals, focusing on environmental modifications, optical treatments, pharmaceutical approaches, combination therapies, and more. Staying informed about the latest advancements is essential to deliver the best possible care to your paediatric patients.
With the high volume of research papers being published, it is vital to scrutinize papers for their scientific quality. Our Perspectives will spotlight fundamental elements that enhance research integrity. Such elements are key to sound clinical investigation and bolster the overall scientific rigor of research studies.
There is now much good science around slowing myopia progression, and we hope that our new Myopia Management Perspectives series will help you gain valuable insights and empower you to incorporate evidence-based practices into your patient care.
